Waking up to number three in iTunes 4.9
When Peter and I decided to fill in the admittedly rather large shoes Lenn and Philip left after the Engadget Podcast fizzled towards the end of 2004, we were definitely uncertain as to how to approach it. On the one hand, we recognized the potential for Podcasting to do for broadcast audio programming what TiVo did for television, and even what MP3s did for music. But truth be told, neither of us had Podcasted before except but to sit in a couple times on the show, nor had we any real clue how to build a successful program. Yeah, you could say when Pete and I decided to really dig in and take the reigns, we had no idea how to really revive the program.
So you can probably imagine my surprise when I woke up this morning to find that the Engadget Podcast debuted in the iTunes Podcast directory at number three. Honestly, I don’t think I’ve ever been as flattered as knowing over 50,000 people would actually want to listen to Pete and I yammer on with one another about technology.
P.S. Yeah, I’ll find a way to forgive Apple for not only messing up our feed, but not crediting me as (co-)host.
