Apple Feb 28Just got my final confirmation for the Stevenote on the 28th down at Apple HQ in Cupertino! Honestly, I don’t have excruciatingly high hopes for what they’re going to announce — the 5G iPod’s only 5 months old, so they probably won’t upgrade it (a complete replacement or new line, however, isn’t unlikely), and I’d assume they’d leave a really huge product announcement like the media Mac mini or tablet (or touchscreen iPod, for that matter) for their 30th anniversary in April. Guess we’ll find out next week, eh? Yeah, I’m that resigned to assuming we won’t get an early scoop — except maybe the day of.

P.S. As Paul Boutin pointed out yesterday, any ideas on the “Beignet” code for the Apple invite? Last time it was “Soleil.”
