EMWLast night I got to check off one from my list of things to do before I die: guest on Tom Merritt’s and Roger Chang’s East Meets West podcast (download). No, I served not as an envoy for the empire, but as my own nerdy self, nerding it up with Veronica, et. al. Now for the title typo anecdote I didn’t get to in the program: it’s a reference only those in my neighborhood in Brooklyn (East side, rep!) would understand: the local Chinese food restroomaurant — intended to be called East Meets West — got the wrong signage printed, which read “East Met West.” Naturally the error didn’t go unnoticed, so they issued a correction by drawing in a rather large s, creating a sign that now reads East Mets West. Eh, close enough.
