Brian Alvey leaves
Brian Alvey, co-founder of Weblogs, Inc. and someone I respect and admire immensely, just announced he’s leaving AOL. No surprise there, I’ve basically been counting down the days. Bummed as I am that he’s moving on, I’m super happy that he’s picking up an exciting new thing: founding a comic book publishing company! (To quote him: “Of all my bosses I’m my own favorite, so this should be fun.”) Plus, I guess this means that I get to work closer with my good pal Gavin Hall, who will be filling his post, so it ain’t all bad, right? Sigh.
I'm an editor and technology critic in the midst of founding a new web startup:

poor ryan :(
have a slice of cake :)
Honestly, i don’t get it. It seems [from your comments and others] that AOL lately has a problem with great people and particularly the ones close to Weblogs and blogs. Whay all these great and amazing people are living AOL?
