Question of the hour
Since so many people have been asking, yes, I’ve switched over to using the iPhone as my primary device. It’s been pretty good so far, but I’ve taken an obvious and unrecoverable hit in speeds both typing and data.
Also, since so many people have been asking how I like the thing (I did do an iPhone review with Notorious Z.I.G.!), to sum it up: it’s fresh, sexy, works pretty well, it tries not waste (too much) of your time with oldthink mobile device UI paradigms, and it’s a lot of fun, which is more than I can say for a lot of phones. Productivity wise it could use some serious help, but thus far it’s been very livable — the pros outweigh the cons by enough. Check back in a couple weeks, we’ll see how things are then!

I guess the true test would be if you were to use it for live blogging ( WWDC, 3GSM, etc. ). What’s the next big event you are going to cover? Do you plan to use the iPhone to write real time blog posts?
No way that’s even remotely possible!
I might have mentioned this before, I forget… but I’ve been pleasantly surprised by the keyboard. Once I trusted it and stopped trying to hit every keystroke accurately, my typing speed shot above every other small keyboard I’ve ever used.
how is the iphone fitting into your email workflow?
Honestly, not super well, but I’ve made harder sacrifices for other mobile devices!
I hope apple fixes the following issues with email-
1. poor integration with gmail
2. no email sync with mail.app
