Last day (sort of)
Strange how the timing on some of this stuff worked out: my last day as editor of Engadget is almost exactly one year to the day after Josh, Pete, and I — the first three editors-in-chief of the site — published our letter to Palm. (Naturally, I had to follow it up in my new column, Engadget Cares.) Even though I’ll be staying on as editor-at-large, leaving has still been a pretty emotional process; thankfully, I feel really secure in the team at hand, the state of the site, and its future ahead under my man Josh.
At the same time, Peter and I are also really looking forward to launching our new company. Having tackled the news thing, we’ve spent a long time dreaming about the kind of gadget site we might like to make next. So you can expect we’ll be hard at work behind the scenes hammering it out — more on that soon enough!

I can’t wait to see what in the hell you have under wraps. I’m sure it’s going to be good.
I concur. Excited to see what you do next. And if you need any help, just send me an email.
Ryan – congrats! On both the Engadget change and on the new company.
Rob
you will be missed my dear. I’m really eager to see what you two are up to.
Congrats on all the success. I’m looking forward to seeing what you two guys have cooked up for your new venture, it sounds very exciting. :)
Can’t wait to see what You have planned for all of us tech junkies..
Good luck Ryan. We’ll miss you
I heard a rumor you and Veronica are tying the knot?
I think Leo Laporte was saying something about that recently. Just rumor for now!
My guess is the next gig will be a super Blu-Ray vs. HD DVD site, being that was your greatest post as Engadget.
Definitely looking forward to whatever you guys have in the works. ;-p
